Lee Hughes has agreed an eighteen month extension to his Notts County contract.
The 35 year old, who has notched six goals in twelve games this season, has been with the Magpies since the summer of 2009 and chairman Ray Trew was thrilled to have tied him down on a longer deal.
"I am under no illusions as to just how important and hoe popular Lee is here at Meadow Lane, he is an icon at this football club."
"For me, this deal is testament to our commitment to the club and its fans and outlines our determination to continue to move this club forwards." He continued.
Hughes has scored over fifty goals since joining Notts County from Oldham Athletic.
