Llanelli have blamed Swansea City's promotion to the Premier League on their reduced ticket sales this season.
The club's general manager Nigel Richards was interviewed in the Llanelli Star newspaper and discussed the decline in spectator's at Stebonheath Park.
"Three years ago our average home crowd was around the 400 mark. There are a lot of factors behind that, but the Swans have had a big effect. During that period, Swansea became a successful Championship side and then got promoted to the Premier League. A lot of our regular fans have bought season tickets down [sic] the Liberty and some of them travel away. We can't compete with a club in the Premier League, but if things carry on like this I don't know what we'll do."
The Reds have implemented a series of special offers in order to entice stayaway fans and Swansea City season ticket holders but nothing has made a major impact on their gates.
The next step according to Richards may be to play their home fixtures on alternative days to the Swans home games.
