Lincoln City have parted compay with their manager Steve Tilson after a poor run of results following their relegation to the Blue Square Premier.
A statement on the club's official site read, "Lincoln City FC has today terminated the contracts of manager Steve Tilson and assistant manager Paul Brush. Head of Youth Grant Brown will take over first team duties until such time as the managerial position is filled."
Tilson was relieved of his duties at Sincil Bank yesterday after just a year at the club. He had overseen their relegation from League Two at the end of last season but was keen to remain in charge to help them regain their League status.
Reports in local media suggest that former Luton Town boss Mick Harford and ex-Rotherham United man Ronnie Moore are amongst the early favourites for the post.
Brown will select the team for tonight's trip to Alfreton Town.
