GREENOCK MORTON: LAIRD RESIGNS

John Laird, Greenock Morton's Director of Youth, has resigned from his position at the club citing continued outside commitments and personal reasons.

Despite attempting to change Laird's mind, the club have now released a statement confirming his departure and thanking him for his efforts with the Scottish First Division side.

"In the fourteen months that John has been involved with the club, his hard work and determination, along with that of the team of coaches that he put together, have seen both the Under 17s and Under 19s teams flourish within the SFL Youth Leagues."

Morton have announced that Allan Moore and Mark McNally will oversee the Youth division until a replacement can be appointed.
