Derby County have put an end to speculation surrounding their manager's future by tying him down at Pride Park until the end of the 2015 season.
Nigel Clough had been linked to the vacant managerial post at Nottingham Forest but spoke last week of how happy he was at Pride Park and his future plans for the Rams.
Speaking to the official website he said, "We are all delighted that our futures have been sorted out and that we have the opportunity to continue the work of the last two and a half years of trying to improve this club. From day one we knew this was going to be a long term project and it is still very much a work in progress."
Clough moved to Derby County in 2009 from Burton Albion, who were at the time on the cusp of promotion to the football league.
