Sammy Clingan has returned from his stint with Northern Ireland for intensive treatment at Coventry City.
The midfielder sustained a back injury during the international clash with Estonia at the weekend and has made a swift return for medical care at his club. Manager Andy Thorn was hopeful his skipper could recover in time for the game with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
"I spoke to Sammy at the weekend and he said he was really sore so he came back and has been getting treatment here. Hopefully he will respond to that and be fit for the weekend but we've got to get to the root of the problem first."
