The 34 year old signs on a free transfer after his Preston North End contract expired in the summer and becomes the second signing for Richard Wilkins' side in a week.
Brown is a vastly experienced centre-back who has made over 200 appearances on league football. He played the bulk of his football at Colchester United but has also turned out for Ipswich Town, Queens Park Rangers, Watford, Hull City, Leicester City and Gillingham.
