Birmingham City have announced that their former skipper Martin O'Connor has returned to St Andrew's as part of the football development programme.
The 43 year old, who was most recently number two to Chris Hutchings at Walsall, will oversee the Football Conference Youth Alliance North team.
"It's great to have Martin back on the team. He has already established a great team spirit and the players are improving with every session. He brings with him great enthusiasm and knowledge and this reflects in his team," football development and education manager Louise Macey said.
O'Connor made almost 200 appearances for the Blues in six years, playing in their 2001 Worthington Cup Final defeat to Liverpool.
