Discussions between the two parties appeared to be at a standstill after Jalal was replaced as the number one goalkeeper at the club by Darryl Flahavan, but an agreement has now been reached which will see the 28 year old remain at the club until 2014.
Manager Lee Bradbury was relieved to have secured Jalal's future, "I think Shwan can be a Championship 'keeper and we want him to achieve that at this club and that is reflected in the length of the deal."
