Quinn, born and bred in the Republic of Ireland, says he drew inspiration from the rugby win, "Myself and Michael Doyle got some inspiration from Ireland's win over Australia in the rugby on Saturday morning and I wanted to celebrate on Saturday night having beaten Colchester and ideally scored, so it was a great weekend in the end."
Quinn has been an ever present for United this season, his goal in the game at the weekend was his first in the league this season.
