NOTTINGHAM FOREST: VERHOEK REJECTS 'HOME SICKNESS' CLAIMS

During the summer Wesley Verhoek was on the verge of moving to Nottingham Forest from Dutch side ADO Den Haag, the deal collapsed at the last minute with officials at the Championship club citing 'home sickness', Verhoek refutes that.

"The stories circulating that I would not move abroad to play football are nonsense. That remains my dream, but at the right club."

Speaking to a Dutch newspaper the 24 year old says he has reflected on his decision not to move to Forest and feels it was the right move, "18th in the league with five points from five matches and Mr McClaren has thought to leave. I was just sitting there in a town where it made no sense to go."

Scottish Premier League side Rangers have been linked with Verhoek in recent days.
