NOTTINGHAM FOREST: PLAYERS RALLY AROUND MCCLAREN

Nottingham Forest striker Matt Derbyshire has spoken out in support of manager Steve McClaren amidst a wave of criticism of his short tenure at the club.

Forest suffered a 3-2 reverse to Southampton on Saturday, their third league defeat of the season, prompting jeers directed at McClaren from the Saints fans.

Derbyshire, who joined up with Forest from Greek side Olympiacos in the summer threw his support behind his manager.

"The manager is doing a great job at Nottingham Forest and our supporters should get behind him. Of course I feel for him. It is disgraceful that his position is coming in for questioning. I really don't know how their fans could sing what they did."
