Dons boss Karl Robinson was happy to tie the Irishman down to a longer contract, "I am over the moon with Shaun's decision to sign a new deal, he took a gamble coming here and so far it has paid off. He sees the bigger picture for the club."
Speaking to the club's official website Williams said, "I have really enjoyed my time with MK Dons and am grateful to be here because the Club is going in the right direction and I want to be part of that. I feel like I've settled in well, I have been playing out of position but I am happy to be involved with a winning team."
The 24 year old signed with MK Dons in March this year from Irish side Sporting Fingal. He has made one league appearance this season.
