Kenny Jackett has revealed that young striker John Marquis will undergo surgery next month to deal with a hernia problem.
The 19 year old has had to settle for a place on the bench in recent weeks, with Millwall staff cautious to prevent any further discomfort for the youngster, something Jackett is keen to keep doing until the problem is sorted.
"John Marquis needs a hernia operation at some stage but it will probably coincide with the international break. I'll have to see and use him sparingly in the meantime. He is still in the squad but it is something I have to address."
