MAIDENHEAD UNITED FC: WALL MISSES OUT

Maidenhead United boss Johnson Hippolyte has revealed that striker Alex Wall was set to leave the club in the transfer window.

The twenty year old was a target for League One side Notts County but the move collapsed at the last minute leaving Wall to return to the Magpies.

Hippolyte said the young striker had not let the speculation surrounding his future detract from his performances, "Alex is the template that every young player should look at. Twice now he's had a professional contract dangled in front of his face only for it to be taken away. But he's not let it get to him, he's not missed a day's training and he's been playing very well."

Wll has scored four goals for the Magpies this season.
