Kidderminster Harriers striker Steve Guinan has been appointed as head coach at Hartpury College's football academy.
The 35 year old was initially handed the role of junior football academy manager in January while on loan with Forest Green Rovers, a role that he excelled at, leading his young charges to a near unbeaten season.
"I want to be working with senior players ultimately and that's where I see my future, so this is a career move in the right direction for me. Hartpury are the best university side in the country now so everyone raises their game against us, but we have got to live with the expectation and I am learning a lot." Guinan said.
Guinan will bring a wealth of footballing experience to his new role. He has turned out for, amongst others, Nottingham Forest, Burnley, Crewe Alexandra, Plymouth Argyle, Hereford United and Northampton Town in a career spanning almost twenty years.
The current Kidderminster number nine has featured in eight league games for the Harriers this season, scoring three goals.
