KETTERING TOWN: STIMSON IN LINE FOR POPPIES JOB

Former Gillingham and Grays Athletic boss Mark Stimson is understood to be in the frame for the recently vacated managerial position at Kettering Town.

The Blue Square Premier side parted company with Morell Maison and assistant boss Nicky Eaden on Monday prompting the rumour mill to churn out a series of names.

Despite Stimson's name being linked with the vacancy, Poppies chairman Imraan Ladak issued a statement that seemed to rule the former Stevenage manager out of the running.

"There are one or two people I would like to speak to but they are in jobs, either as assistants or managers elsewhere."

Stimson has been without a club since he was sacked by League Two side Barnet in January.
