GATESHEAD: ANOTHER MAGPIE JOINS UP

Gateshead have taken another of Newcastle United's youngsters on a short term loan deal.

Speaking after Jak Alnwick agreed to join up, Manager Ian Bogie discussed the close relationship between the two clubs, "We have a good relationship with my former club Newcastle and we are grateful that they have allowed Alnwick to join us on loan."

18 year old Alnwick is the third young player from the Premier League side to switch to Gateshead in recent months. He follows James Tavernier and John Edmondson who both had successful spells in the BSP.

Alnwick, the younger brother of Tottenham Hotspur 'keeper Ben, has signed for the Blue Square Premier club on a four week loan deal and will cover for the injured Tim Deasy.
