GAINSBOROUGH TRINITY: HOUSHAM CONFIRMED AS TRINITY BOSS

Steve Housham has been confirmed as the new manager of Gainsborough Trinity after leading the team to five successive victories as caretaker boss.

Former manager Brian Little was sacked on August 22nd leaving former youth boss Housham to take charge of first team affairs. In the five games since taking over Steve has lead Trinity to victory against Corby Town, Blyth, Droylsden, Nuneaton and Bishop's Stortford.

The new gaffer was thrilled at being offered the job until the end of the season, "I am obviously delighted, but then I was when I first joined the club in the summer. I am massively proud to become the manager of my hometown football club."

Peter Swann, Gainsborough Trinity's chairman was keen to bring stability to the club, "The fact is that Steve has brought some great results and the lads are playing for him. I have been working closely with Steve and you can see that he feels every decision he makes. He gives 100% and he wants to win every game."
