The midfielder sustained the injury in pre-season training and has yet to feature for Rovers. News of his return to training will be a huge boost for the team.
Tim Grigg, part of the medical set up at Rovers said, "Al is progressing really well and may have a run out at Brighton this week for the reserves."
Bangura, who featured for Watford when they played in the Premier League during the 2006/07 season, also previously played for Brighton, Blackpool and Turkish side Mersin Idmanyurdu.
