Kris Newby has explained his decision to move from Thurrock to near neighbours East Thurrock.
The 23 year old felt unwanted at Ship Lane and believed that Thurrock boss Robbie Garvey was using him as a scapegoat for the side's disappointing start to the season.
"There was a bit of tension there with Garvey. He was great at the start and we had a lot of banter but I think he got frustrated because I was unavailable because I had an injury."
"He was shouting a lot, but I did not believe what was happening to the team was my fauly, even though he blamed me for some of the things that had gone wrong."
Newby suffered knee ligament damage during the pre season preperations at Thurrock restricting him to just two appearances for the club before he moved to East Thurrock.
