DERBY COUNTY FC: TYSON COULD MAKE DEBUT AGAINST FORMER CLUB

Nathan Tyson, a summer signing for Derby County from neighbours Nottingham Forest, could be in line to make his Rams debut against his former club at the weekend.

The 29 year old signed for Derby on a three year contract in July but has yet to feature for the club this season as he struggled to overcome a groin injury.

The former Reading and Wycombe Wanderers striker came through sixty minutes of a reserve match against Leicester City in midweek but manager Nigel Clough is taking a cautious approach to the decision.

"We have to be careful with Nathan because even if he isn't right for Saturday, which we understand is a big game for him, there are 39 more games to play. He is experienced enough to know his own body and we will speak to him on Friday, but we have to protect him as well. There's plenty of time to get him involved."

Tyson spent six seasons with Nottingham Forest, scoring forty two goals in 209 appearances.
