Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray is still interested in signing Coventry forward Lukas Jutkiewicz, that's according to first team coach Mark Proctor.
Speaking with a local newspaper Proctor said a failed approach had been made by 'Boro for the 22 year old ahead of the end of the transfer window, and that an improved offer may be on the cards.
"It's common knowledge we tried to sign him. It just didn't quite happen. Maybe once the window has reopened on Thursday then it could be reignited."
Jutkiewicz signed for Coventry in the summer of 2010 for an undisclosed fee from Everton, he scored nine goals in 43 appearances for the Sky Blues last season and has featured in five league games this term, scoring twice.
