The 20 year old tweeted on his personal Twitter account on Sunday that he didn't believe the attacks in the United States on 11th of September 2001 were the actions of terrorists.
The message read, "I aint going to say attack don't let the media make u [sic] believe that was terrorist that did it. #O.T.I.S."
Premier League side Liverpool have issued a statement confirming they are conducting an internal investigation into the striker's comments, and will take appropriate steps once that has concluded.
