BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION: POYET TIED DOWN

Brighton & Hove Albion have announced that manager Gus Poyet and his assistant Mauricio Taricco have both agreed new five year contracts at the Amex.

The duo have had nothing but success at Brighton, leading the Seagulls to promotion from League One in just their second season in charge. They now sit in fifth position in the Championship after taking seventeen points from their opening nine fixtures.

Brighton chairman Tony Bloom said, "Gus and Tano are key to all of our immediate and long term plans. When you consider the position the club was in when they arrived, what they have achieved here in less than two years is outstanding."
