Former Bradford City assistant boss Colin Cooper has moved to Middlesbrough to take up the vacant position of Under 18's coach.
Cooper, who was initially employed as assistant boss to Bantams manager Peter Taylor, had been presiding over the Bradford first team as caretaker manager following Peter Jackson's departure last month.
The 44 year old had two spells as a player with Middlesbrough amounting to fifteen years in total.
Speaking to BBC Tees Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray said, "It'll be great to have a face we all know and a man who has the club close to his heart. I think it's important to have a feel for the club and for the supporters' expectations, the demands placed on players."
The man in charge at Bradford City, Phil Parkinson was disappointed to see Cooper leave, "He has been made an offer, and it is one that he believes is too good to turn down. We would obviously have liked him to stay, but we have to respect his decision."
