BIRMINGHAM CITY: EUROPE THE ATTRACTION FOR KING

Marlon King has revealed the main reason behind his move from Coventry to Birmingham City was the chance to play in Europe.

King was speaking about his move to St Andrew's ahead of Birmingham's clash with Braga in the Europa League this evening.

"The lure of Europe played a big part in it and I know we are going to be in the mix for promotion at the end of the season. That was important to me as well. I am no spring chicken, these opportunities don't come up every day and every player will tell you that he wants to play in the top competitions, Europe is one of them."

The 31 year old agreed a three year contract with Birmingham in the summer after his Coventry City contract expired. He has featured just once for the Blues this season after sustaining knee ligament damage during pre-season.
