ALLOA ATHLETIC: STIRLING STAY IS SHORT AND SWEET

Stirling Smith has terminated his Alloa Athletic contract by mutual agreement due to personal reasons.

The 20 year old was apparently struggling to make the journey from Aberdeen to Alloa's home at the Recreation Park in Clackmannanshire.

Alloa boss Paul Hartley was disappointed but understood the defender's decision, "Unfortunately the move has not worked out for Stirling and the club would like to thank him for his efforts during his short time here and understands his wish to be freed from his contract."
