"The players are super fit and their attitudes spot on and if you have that you have half a chance," he said.
Beard knows what areas within his squad need work, and commented on what fans can expect from the new additions to his squad, "We conceded 90 per cent of our goals from set pieces last season so wanted to improve on our defence. We now have four defenders who are above 6'5 so hopefully they have an input in tightening up the defence."
Tooting & Mitcham begin their season at home to East Thurrock on Saturday.
