The defender has featured in only one of Reading's league fixtures this season but boss Brian McDermott was quick to praise him "He's done very, very well, he will keep working hard and I'm sure he will be a big player for us."
22 year old Cummings signed on a permanent deal for Reading from Chelsea during the 2009/10 season. He has also spent time out on loan with West Brom and MK Dons.
