Alfreton Town striker Nathan Arnold is facing the prospect of being out of action for up to eight weeks.
It is understood that the 24 year old has suffered the exact same injury as fellow Alfreton man Anthony Wilson, a broken metatarsal.
Manager Nicky Law said, "If it wasn't hard enough before, it is even harder now. But that is art of the job and we have just got to deal with it."
Arnold was substituted during the second half of Alfreton's game with Darlington on Tuesday and Law must now look to bring in cover, "We are going to have to look to get at least a couple of players in before the transfer deadline.
