Following rumours surrounding his future, Ronnie McFall seems to have come out in defiance stating that he will not leave Portadown despite ongoing unrest behind the scenes at the club.
Following an EGM last night, in which shareholders of the club rejected the proposed takeover by Yalcin Cubuk, a source close to the Portadown boss spoke with the Belfast Telegraph, "Speculation that Ronnie's future could be in doubt as a result of the boardroom problems is wide of the mark. He will still be the manager when all this is over."
The concern over McFall's future at the club came about as he had given his support to the rejected bid by Turkish businessman Cubuk, however the source dismissed this, stating that the owner of the club was irrelevant in regard to McFall's position "He'd never walk away from Portadown and, regardless of who becomes chairman, his value to the club is one thing all concerned can agree upon."
