The 25 year old has signed a three year deal with the Teessiders and will slot straight into the squad as they host Birmingham on Saturday.
Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has spoken of his delight at completing the signing, "Faris has looked good in training. He's fit and athletic, has a love of the game and is full of enthusiasm."
