Former Ipswich Town chairman David Sheepshanks has been made an honorary vice president at the club on the same day that manager Paul Jewell has appointed Andy Liddell as fitness coach.
Sheepshanks oversaw the running of the Portman Road club for 24 years whilst sitting on the board, working as chairman between 1995 and 2009. Simon Clegg, chief executive at Ipswich said, "I think it's fitting that David's outstanding commitment to this club over many years should be recognised in this way."
Andy Liddell joins up with Paul Jewell again in the capacity of fitness coach. The 38 year old former Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United midfielder was recently in place as Rotherham United's caretaker manager taking charge of a 6-0 demolition of Lincoln City in March.
