Liverpool's recent enquiry for Paddy McCourt has been dismissed by Celtic who are keen to keep hold of the midfielder.
The 27 year old produced a man of the match performance for Northern Ireland last week, something that didn't go unnoticed by Liverpool boss, Kenny Dalglish.
Since signing from Derry City in 2008 McCourt has only managed 39 appearances for the first time, scoring 9 goals. That return is in stark contrast to his three years at City where he scored 25 goals in 61 games.
It's not know whether Liverpool will follow their enquiry up with a firm bid before the end of the transfer window, but Neil Lennon is expected to do all he can to keep hold of the winger.
