James Scowcroft is awaiting news on how serious an injury he sustained in Bury Town's game with Cambridge United. The 35 year suffered groin and abdominal injuries last week and is hoping for good news after he underwent scans at the hospital.
"There's a bit of groin damage and it looks like I've also done something to my lower abdominal muscle, It felt like quite a nasty one when I tumbled over, but hopefully it is better than first feared and it won't be too big a blow," Scowcroft said.
Bury Town's season gets under way on Saturday against Horsham, a game Scowcroft was not expected to appear in as he completes a two match suspension.
