BATH CITY: EGAN SIGNS, THANKS TO MEMORIAL FUND

Josh Egan has signed for Bath City with the funds for the transfer coming from a memorial fund founded in memory of Dave Palmer.

Palmer played for Bath for thirteen years and spent three years after that in an assistant managerial role, he sadly passed away at the age of 49 following heart problems.

A fund was set up in his memory in order to bring a promising young player into the squad each season, 18 year old Josh Egan is the first beneficiary of that fund.

Former Blackpool youngster Egan said, "I'm very honoured to be the first beneficiary of the new fund, and it is especially appropriate because I am a close friend of Dave's daughter Ella. I was really surprised to hear that this fund was being set up and that I was going to be the first player selected."
