Returning to Maes Tegid for a second spell is last season’s loanee Mark Connolly
Mark joins us from Chester after making 12 appearances and scoring 1 goal for the Deva side. He began his playing career at Mallaby before joining Bangor City in January 2004 and then Rhyl in 2005-06.
He was part of the Rhyl team that won the league in 2008-09 making 35 appearances and scoring 23 goals for them. Last season, when Mark was with Bala he scored 4 goals, 2 of which were outstanding free kicks against Aberystwyth Town.
Interestingly, he turned down other offers from 3 Welsh Premier sides this summer to re-join the Lakesiders, mainly due to the fact that he enjoyed his spell with us so much last season.
