LEATHERHEAD FC: FRANCIS EXTENDS STAY

Leatherhead midfielder Vernon Francis has agreed a contract extension with the club, keeping him at Fetcham Grove until the end of the current campaign.

Tanners boss Richard Brady commented on the deal, "Vernon's signed a contract even though there were clubs after him. You wouldn't think that for a club in the bottom four when top teams come after you but that shows you where we're going, what we're about and the confidence in the squad and themselves."

Billericay Town are understood to be one of the clubs who have declared an interest in Francis.
