Shaun Cummings is eager to keep his place in the Reading first team are notching up his 25th start for the club against Middlesbrough this weekend.
The 22 year old has delivered a string of impressive performances for the Royals and is keen for that to continue.
"Everyone wants to cement their place in the team, I'm going to have to keep working hard, you've got competition all over the place. But I think it's my time now and I need to keep doing well."
Cummings, a former Chelsea academy graduate, knows how tough the division is this season, but sees no reason his side can't challenge for promotion again.
"Everyone know it's going to be tight in the Championship, you can win a game and jump four or five places so we just need to be that consistent team."
