CIRENCESTER TOWN:

Cirencester Town have confirmed the signing of defender Jared Wilson.

The 22 year old made his debut for the Centurions in their game with Chippenham Town at the weekend but couldn't prevent his new teammates falling to a 1-0 defeat.

Despite the result the Evo Stik Southern Premier side's manager, Brian Hughes, was pleased with the former Birmingham City man's performance.

"Jared did well and once he beds in he will do a good job for us. He has had a tough time recently and he will benefit from getting some games under his belt."

Wilson spent three months on loan with Chesterfield at the end of the 2008/09 season, it was there that he played the bulk of his football before moving to Worcester City two years later.
