WEYMOUTH FC: KING TALK DISMISSED

The board at Evo Stik Southern side Weymouth have moved quickly to pour water on reports that they are considering manager Brendon King's future at the club.

The Terras currently sit in 21st position in the division having taken just five points from their opening eight league fixtures. Their most recent outing resulted in a crushing 4-1 defeat to Chesham United after which a board meeting was reported to have taken place, news of which prompted the uncertainty about King's future.

A statement issued by the club reveals the board have full confidence in King and are backing him to turn the club's fortunes around, "The board is fully behind Brendon King and understood that when he took the job it would be a difficult season."

"All we ask now is for the fans to stick with it and hopefully we can get a positive result on Tuesday and again this coming Saturday in the FA Cup."

Weymouth travel to Cirencester Town tomorrow.
