AFC BOURNEMOUTH: CHERRIES CHAIRMAN DISMISSES POST MATCH FURORE

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has dismissed the scenes after the game with Chesterfield at the weekend as 'nothing'.

Mitchell grabbed a microphone after Saturday's match to voice his opinions after fans had booed and jeered him as he walked off the pitch. Speaking with a local newspaper he said, "What happened, happened."

"If I can't walk onto the pitch and clap the supporters after all I have done for the club then there is something wrong, isn't there? To me, it was nothing. I have forgotten all about it."

Cherries fans are unhappy at the selling off a number of their best players during the transfer window, something which they believe has contributed to their dreadful start to the new campaign.
