Barrow defender, Mike Pearson missed out on his teams Blue Square Premier meeting with Tamworth after suffering a thigh injury in training during the week. Dave Bayliss discussed the decision after the match, "Mike pulled his thigh in training on Monday and didn't train for the rest of the week. We didn't tell anyone about it. At a push he could have played 20/25 minutes, but we didn't want to risk starting him."
