FAN'S VIEW: HULL CITY SEASON PREVIEW

Another relegated side here in the form of Hull City, with great expectations for a return to the top flight. We asked supporter Rick for his thoughts.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

Pretty disastrously. Hull City’s dream European adventure ended before September, almost all of the big money additions were absolutely useless and we were needlessly relegated.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

We've made four signings, Same Clucase for £1.3m, Ryan Taylor on a free and Issac Hayden and Chub Akpom on loan from Arsenal. They’re all good players but have arrived against a back drop of departures. The losses, particularly of James Chester and Robbie Brady, outweigh the positive additions at the moment.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

We’re still expecting three strikers (N’Doye, Jelavic and Hernandez) to leave so at least one of them will need replacing. We’re still a body light in midfield and could do to add some pace in wide areas. Allan McGregor has looked iffy for a while so a goalkeeper may also be on the agenda.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

The return of the Yorkshire “derbies” are the positive in returning to the Championship. Leeds is the fixture most people will have looked out for.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

Middlesbrough look to have added the best player in the division in Stewart Downing to an already impressive squad. They are comfortably my favourites for the title.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Sone Aluko could be the difference maker now we are back at his level. He was very good the last time we were promoted but for injury. It could be a breakthrough year for Harry Maguire given the opportunity at centre-half while Andy Robertson needs to live up to his enormous potential. Michael Dawson should be a great leader.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

I think we’ll scrape in to the play-offs in sixth and then obviously win them!
