NPOWER CHAMPIONSHIP

BARNSLEY: The club are set for talks with midfielder Jacob Butterfield in an attempt to keep the youngster at Oakwell.

LEEDS UNITED: Patrick Kisnorbo has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering knee ligament damage in the clash with Burnley last week.

CARDIFF CITY: The Bluebirds are understood to have made a bid for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Craig Noone.

HULL CITY: Nick Barmby has confirmed he will retire from playing professional football as soon as he pens a fulltime contract as manager at the KC Stadium.

BURNLEY: Ben Mee is expected to make his loan move from Manchester City permanent this month.

READING: Jimmy Kebe has been handed a new contract at the Madejski Stadium, it's understood to be two and a half years in length.

LEEDS UNITED: Chairman Ken Bates has insisted that Simon Grayson's position as manager is safe despite recent newspaper reports to the contrary.

DERBY COUNTY: Nigel Clough has conceded that he may have to listen to offers for midfielder Paul Green this month.

IPSWICH TOWN: Simon Clegg, Chief Executive at Portman Road says that Paul Jewell's job is safe at the club.

BRISTOL CITY: Ricky Foster has agreed a switch to the Robins from Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen.

OLDHAM ATHLETIC: Merseyside Police are investigating alleged racist abuse from Liverpool fans directed at Latics' midfielder Tom Adeyemi in the FA Cup clash last night.

SCUNTHORPE UNITED: Everton have recalled defender Shane Duffy from his loan spell with the Iron.

AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Simon Francis has made a permanent switch to the Cherries from Charlton Athletic.

HARTLEPOOL UNITED: Striker Colin Larkin is poised to undergo more surgery on his knee problem this week, leaving him out of action for another three months.

SCUNTHORPE UNITED: Alan Knill is going nowhere, that's according to Chairman Steve Wharton who believes the former Rotherham United and Bury boss is the right man for the job.

BRENTFORD: Uwe Rosler has moved swiftly to add Watford youngster Piero Mingoia to his Bees side.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: The Owls are undersood to have tabled a bid of around £175,000 for Rotherham United striker Lewis Grabban.

BRENTFORD: Southampton defender Harlee Dean will remain a Bee until the end of the season after the two clubs agreed to extend his stay.

EXETER CITY: Young striker Tom Nicholls has moved out on loan to Blue Square South side Dorchester Town.

ROTHERHAM UNITED: Crawley Town's bid of £100,000 for in form Millers striker Lewis Grabban has been rejected by the South Yorkshire club.

BRISTOL ROVERS: SkySports are reporting that former Doncaster Rovers and AFC Bournemouth manager Sean O'Driscoll is to be named the new Pirates boss next week.

CRAWLEY TOWN: Steve Evans has revealed that the club have approached Hearts in the hope of taking midfielder Rudi Skacel on loan for the rest of the season.

AFC WIMBLEDON: Callum McNaughton has returned to parent club West Ham following his loan spell with Wimbledon.

GRIMSBY TOWN: Kiernan Hughes Mason has signed for the Mariners from league rivals Kettering Town on a deal until the end of the season.

NEWPORT COUNTY: Striker Ryan Charles has agreed a loan move from Cambridge United.

FOREST GREEN ROVERS: Matt Paterson has signed on loan for a month from League Two side Southend, while Liam Henderson has agreed a return to Rovers until the end of the season.

HAYES & YEADING: Nathan Elder has made his loan move to Hereford United permanent after impressing in fifteen appearances for the Bulls.

BLUE SQUARE NORTH & SOUTH

COLWYN BAY: Former Chelsea and Leicester City defender Frank Sinclair has signed for Bay following his release by Blue Square Premier side Wrexham.

EASTLEIGH: Former Preston North End midfielder Phillip Appiah has signed from league rivals Farnborough.

THURROCK: Striker Ben Hunt has signed for Blue Square South side Thurrock from Gloucester City.

TONBRIDGE ANGELS: Tommy Warrilow has added two new players to his ranks in the form of midfielder Chris Piper and attacker Joey Benjamin.

GAINSBOROUGH TRINITY: Adam Watts, released by Lincoln City last week, has penned a deal with Gainsborough Trinity.

BISHOP'S STORTFORD: Ricky Sappleton, formerly of Macclesfield Town and Leicester City, has linked up with Rod Stringer's men.

WELLING UNITED: Andy Pugh's move to Cambridge United has been put on ice for the moment following an injury to the striker.

WOKING: Young striker Ola Sogbanmu has made a temporary switch to league rivals Farnborough.

NUNEATON TOWN: Andy Brown has returned to the Triton Showers Community Arena on loan from Blue Square Premier side AFC Telford.

TAMWORTH: Jay Smith is the latest player to be released by the Blue Square Premier side.

TONBRIDGE ANGELS: Scott Kinch has been told by manager Tommy Warrilow that he can leave the club after a series of injuries have prevented him from making a real impact on the first team this season.

CHESTER FC: The club have given striker Jamie Rainford permission to speak to two teams who have expressed an interest in his services.

OXFORD CITY: Near neighbours Oxford United have sent their young striker Aaron Woodley to City on loan.

STAFFORD RANGERS: Ryan Brown has signed for Rangers on non contract terms from Altrincham.

BARWELL: Former Coventry City youngster Matt West has joined Barwell after leaving Blue Square North side Solihull Moors.

FRICKLEY ATHLETIC: Defender Mark Gray has agreed a move to Frickley following his release by Blue Square North side Gainsborough Trinity.

RYMAN PREMIER

WEALDSTONE: Watford duo, Britt Assombalonga and Connor Smith have extended their stays with the Stones by a further month.

CANVEY ISLAND: John Batch has resigned from his position as first team manager at Canvey. Glen Alzapiedi will take the reigns for the remainder of the season.

SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE

DUNDEE UNITED: Scott Allan has passed his medical at the West Bromich Albion and is poised to make the move to the English Premier League this week.

KILMARNOCK: Kenny Shiels has given up hope of keeping his son, and Doncaster Rovers midfielder, Dean at the club beyond his current loan period.

ST JOHNSTONE: Graham Gartland has left the club by mutual consent after struggling for first team appearances this season.

ABERDEEN: Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Reynolds has signed on loan until the end of the season.

RANGERS: The club have rejected an approach by French side Sochaux for Maurice Edu.

SCOTTISH FIRST DIVISION

AYR UNITED: Ryan Connolly has completed his loan spell with Brian Reid's men and returned to his parent club Derby County.

SCOTTISH SECOND DIVISION

STIRLING ALBION: Defender Shaun Dillon has returned to training following two months out with an ankle injury.

BRECHIN CITY: Jim Weir has linked up with former Gateshead and Hibernian defender Ewan Moyes. The pair also worked together at Arbroath and Livingston.

AIRDRIE UNITED: Kevin Green has penned a professional contract at the club after impressing on amateur terms.

STIRLING ALBION: Sam Filler is expected to return to the first team later this month after stepping up his recovery from a finger break.

SCOTTISH THIRD DIVISION

BERWICK RANGERS: Ian Little has strengthened the squad with the addition of goalkeeper Gavin Sorley to act as backup for regular number one, Jamir Barclay.

ELGIN CITY: Zander Clark has agreed an extension to his loan from St Johnstone, keeping him at Borough Briggs until the end of the season.

CLYDE: Paul McMullan has parted company with the Third Division side after struggling to make an impact on the senior squad.

ALLOA ATHLETIC: Steve Masterton has signed a professional contract at Alloa after impressing in his initial three month amateur deal.

EAST STIRLINGSHIRE: Scott Maxwell and Andy Stirling have extended their stays with the club until the end of the season.

IRISH PREMIERSHIP

CLIFTONVILLE: Six supporters of Cliftonville have been banned for their part in clashes with rival fans in recent matches.

DUNGANNON SWIFTS: Brothers, Emmet and Sean Friars have agreed moves to Stangmore Park. The pair have inked eighteen month contracts from Derry City and Institute respectively.

COLERAINE: Paul Owen has signed for the club from Carrick Rangers, along with Derry City midfielder Ruairi Harkin. The duo have both agreed eighteen month contracts.

CRUSADERS: Chris Morrow has agreed a new two year contract, keeping him at Seaview until the summer of 2014.

CLIFTONVILLE: Diarmuid O'Carroll has this week completed his move from league rivals Glenavon.

COLERAINE: Oran Kearney has been named the Carling Manager of the Month for December after leading his side to five victories and two draws last month.

LEAGUE OF IRELAND

DERRY CITY: Declan Devine has been confirmed as the new boss at Brandywell, sealing a two year deal alongside his assistant Paul Hegarty.

WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE

NEATH FC: Lee Kendall has returned to the club after three months with Welsh League Division 3 side Bridgend Street.

AIRBUS UK BROUGHTON: Ross Lavender has been selected by Osian Roberts for his Under 16 development squad training camp this month.

AFAN LIDO: Andy Dyer has moved to strengthen his squad with the additions of midfield duo, Liam Thomas and Shane Williams.
