CHARLTON ATHLETIC FC: HAMER APPEAL REJECTED

Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Ben Hamer will have to sit out the FA Cup clash with Fulham this weekend after the FA rejected the club's appeals over his red card in a previous fixture.

Hamer was dismissed for 'deliberate handball' in the clash with Leyton Orient , a decision that was labelled 'harsh' post-match by manager Chris Powell.

The FA have disagreed with the Addicks boss and Hamer's one match suspension remains.
