Swindon Town striker Elliot Benyon has signed for league rivals Southend.
The 24 year old had been on loan to Wycombe Wanderers but was recalled recently by Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio.
Speaking to the club's official website Benyon expressed his delight at finalising the deal, "I heard about a week ago that Southend were back in again and as soon as I knew that it was the club I wanted to come to."
"This is a fresh start and I am looking forward to scoring goals and playing games."
Benyon started his career at Bristol City before loan spells with St Albans City and Crawley Town lead to a permanent switch to Torquay United in 2007.
The move will be made official on January 1st.
