Chippenham Town are on the look out for a successor for their chairman John Applegate.
The 74 year old, currently in his third year in charge of the Evo Stik Southern Premier side, is keen to make an appointment before he departs in the summer.
Speaking to the Wiltshire Times he said, "I won't leave the club in that position because I love the club and I certainly have no intention of walking away."
"I'm getting tired and I'm getting older. If anything goes wrong then people come to you and the buck always stops with the chairman. We desperately need some younger people on the board and if someone in their 40s or 50s would like to be chairman, that would be great."
