The 23 year old was helped from the field by medical staff during the first half of the match and manager Greg Abbott revealed the extent of the injury in an interview with the News & Star newspaper.
"I don't think there was a malicious intent, but it's a challenge that doesn't need to be made by the touchline. I don't think we will see much of Rory over the next few weeks and maybe months, but we will have to wait and see."
